How to Add Whatsapp Stickers

You can already use a number of stickers on Whatsapp.

To add a sticker in your message, click on the emoji in your text field and then click on the sticker icon (third on the right).

From here, you will see the stickers that you have already added to your account.

To use one of the stickers, click on it and select the one you like from the set.

How to Add Whatsapp Animated Stickers

Follow the process above to get to your list of stickers.

Click on the ‘+’ icon on the right. This will show you the list of non-animated stickers currently available.

Scroll down to the very bottom and click ‘Get more stickers’.

You will now see a number of new sticker sets including the new, animated ones.

To download one, simply click on it and then click on ‘install’

In the words of the Whatsapp team:

Stickers are one of the fastest growing ways people communicate on WhatsApp, with billions sent every day. We are rolling out new animated sticker packs that are even more fun and expressive.

How to Use Whatsapp QR Code

Whatsapp QR code lets you add a new contact without adding their name and phone number one digit at the time:

when you meet someone new, you will be able to scan their QR code to add them to your contacts. No more tapping in their digits one at a time.

At the time of writing, the QR code is not available yet on my Whatsapp account (Ireland).

How to Enable Whatsapp Dark Mode on Mobile

To enable Whatsapp dark mode on desktop, click on the three dots on the top left of the screen, then click on ‘Settings’.

From the menu, click on ‘Chats’.

Under ‘Display’ click on ‘Theme’ and select ‘Dark’.

You can still revert back to the ‘Light’ theme by following the same process.

How to Enable Whatsapp Dark Mode on Desktop

To enable Whatsapp dark mode on desktop, click on the three dots on the top left of the screen, then click on ‘Settings’.

Click on ‘Theme’ and select ‘Dark’ from the popup menu.

You can still revert back to the ‘Light’ theme by following the same process.

Dark Mode is one of the latest trends. I have it enabled on Youtube for what it matters. Now you can enable it on Whatsapp too, on both desktop and mobile.

At the time of writing, dark mode is available only on desktop.

Whatsapp Group Video Calls

In a video call with up to 8 people, Whatsapp lets you now focus on one of the participants by simply pressing and holding on to it.

A video icon is now also available for group chats of up to 8. This lets you start a group video call with just one tap.
